my lesson last night actually went really well. just thought i'd let you all know that there are moments when i don't suck at life. so maybe i'll be competent by tomorrow after all. i definitely have never violined in front of so many people - parents' day concert is usually packed full - so i'm not exactly sure how i'm going to handle that. rehearsal today went fairly well, with a few somewhat-minor exceptions. hopefully with another night/day of practing everything will fall completely into place, thanks to my genius of a violin teacher, who writes smiley faces in the margins of my music to let me know what i need to work on. oh, happy times.
